Well this sunday, I am heading to a friends house, biking 5 mile on wet grass. I would like to know what food travels well and has high energe, and any thing else I need to know for a really long ass trip.

carbs are going to give u that boost of energy since they are the first source that ur body uses. rice, bread etc, 5 miles isnt that long though so u should be fine with just a regular meal

Yeah just normal meals should be fine, carbs are the main source of energy in your diet. Do not drink any energy drinks or coffee etc. Be sure to drink plenty of water before, during and after the ride, hydration is very important, can if you are unhydrated, you will get tired quicker and perform not as well as you could.

ppl actually use energy drinks and coffee as a kind of pre workout because of their caffeine, and energy drinks are pretty much fast digesting carbs so they are fine just need to ensure proper water hydration afterwards

Unless worked in by a nutritionist or trainer, they do more harm then good. Many do not know how to properly consume them or how often to consume them. Studies have shown that after the initial peak of energy, levels are dropped significantly leading to a under performance. They also have a negative effect on the heart, and are banned in many sporting groups for good reason.
Sorry but they are not fine for sport and should be avoided :)

Why is that a really bad idea?
5 k is such a small distance that it shouldn't worry you.
If you're really unfit, just make sure you have a healthy and fulfilling breakfast and don't have anything milk based before you go - it can upset the stomach.
Drink and bring water with you.
Otherwise 5 k is simple as.
