I mostly use my iPod or phone so I can actually get on chat. I suggest there be a thread for people to just chat.

The entire point of chat is to avoid having to create one big massive spamfest thread.

But people spam all the time in chat. Also can't you make the chat thread not count towards post counts? I don't think people should suffer just because they aren't able to chat on a computer.

Exactly my point. I doubt you would want there to be a thread that gets 1000+ posts every day -- it'd be a pain to read through.

Well, I'm sorry, then. We cannot, unfortunately, tailor to every single person's wants. We don't have that kind of money.

we can have a chat thread in the VT arcade. we can just ask it be stickied. posts don't count there.

I think it's a pretty pointless idea, which would need constant moderation and attention. This is primarily a help site, I think we should be glad that we even have a chat :P

I really don't see the point to it.
Also, it would need heavy moderation, and it would be vet annoying to do.
Like Mile said, this is a help site, not a social networking one.

Start a Skype group if you'd like.

Isn't that what TWPR boils down to at the end of the day anyway?
Also, a chat section is just a waste of space. You have profile fields allowing you to post your MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Skype, AIM, and other various accounts for a reason - to chat.

You have access to chat, none of you use it. So use it.
