(I posted it in this forum because it's a health concern and its not apart of the Fitness forum)

So I malnutrition and I've noticed my veins in my arms have become more noticeable. Does this mean I'm getting skinnier or losing more fat?

So last weekend I went on the scale, and the weird part is that I haven't lost any weight, but I have gained weight. More veins have become more noticeable and I have gained weight, but I haven't grown. Ive noticed all of this and I noticed it about 1 month ago so I'm like very confused what's happening. What do you think is going on?

I believe I have been eating a proper amount of calories, here are all the things I've been eating:

Morning (mostly cereal but I've skipped 4/7 mornings, but when I did est I'd eat this)
3/4-1 cup of coco rice krispies cereal
1/2-3/4 of a cup of milk

Lunch
1 piece of pizza OR 1 turkey and ham wrap (generic school wrap)
1 peaches cup (or fruit cup)
1 brownie
1-2 cartons of milk (the small school cartons)
and for something extra add an additional 250 calories

Snack
1 bowl of cereal
(same as the morning)

OR

1 Ensure Plus (350 cal)

Dinner
Sometimes I wouldn't eat dinner (cause I sleep through it xD

But when I do...
I'd maybe have a 5-6 oz steak wrapped with bacon and green beans (about a handful)

OR

4 pieces of chicken with green beans (tenderloin chicken with 0 cal seasonings)

OR

4 piece of chicken tenderloins with a cup of mashed potatoes

OR

4 pieces of chicken tenderloins and that's it

Are those enough to eat? Why are my veins becoming more visible, I've probably been exercising once a week (sometimes not at all)

Since I have malnutrition my docs say I have to eat 3,000 calories a day (but if I workout 4,000 a day), but noticeably I haven't. What happens if I don't?
I talked to the docs last time I went and they said if I eat 3,000 calories a day, and eat healthy I could get my abs to show. But idk how that is possible?! How is it?

*when I say my veins show I mean in my arms they've been showing more, even when I'm resting they show way more than I remember 1-2 months ago*

I don't think the veins have to do with your weight.

If you are "malnutritioning", that is not healthy. (That may be an autocorrect fail)

Umm, add more water into your diet because if you're veins are showing like that, you need help. Get an IV into you at the docs, but drink more water, I assume from this post that you don't drink water. Two tests for dehydration: pull the skin on your hand up, and see how quickly if it goes down(if its more than 2 sec. you're dehydrated), or push in your nail, and see how long it takes for it to go back to pink, again, 2 sec rule. Hope this helps.

Ummmm. My veins are showing, but I do drink plenty of liquids. Saying I need an IV is a bit far I'd say.
