I've been meaning to go and get it recently, but I'm not quite sure how to ask.
What I wanted to know mainly, is what sort of side effects has anyone had? Like, what effect has it had on your periods and stuff?

Well, I haven't taken the pill myself but it has crossed my mind. If you need to know about any side effects the best thing you can do is ask your doctor and he/she will be able to tell you all you need to know about the pill before you take it.

As for asking, all you need to do is ask your parents if you can begin taking birth control pills for your periods. They should understand.

I'm off to the doctors tomorrow to go and get the pill. My parents think it's due to my period pains. The pill stops you ovulating and therefore stops period and ovulation pain. You could use this as an excuse too get it? :) That's what i'm doing.

As for asking the doctor, just ask straight out if you can go on the contraceptive pill. I can tell you about side effects in a few weeks time?
