Anyone looking forward to it? There is a rumour that a teaser trailer is being released on 28th April. Can't wait :yeah:

If this is true, I won't be excited. The CoD franchise needs to give it a break.

I can't afford to be excited, like literally out of money. Plus there are going to be better coming out this year, or rather, games that seem more interesting than CoD.

To be honest NO.
Black ops was the worst COD by far..
Bring back a game like COD5, then we shall talk.

I fail to see how the first Black Ops game was that bad. It was more story driven than any other CoD and people who wanted "HURRR MARICA BEST NATION RUSSIANS BAD DURRR" didn't get that.

The story sucked. Guy, captured, experimented on, visions, crazy, The end.
The game sucked because the graphics were terrible. The multiplayer had the most overpowering guns, Zero Recoil on half of them.
Zombies was good, but they changed it to you had to run, you could not sit for 5 mins anywhere.
The game consisted of nothing but failure and as by any cod I was bored by January.
The game had no heart or soul in it. Character development was crap.

Well CoD might be a bad game but its not worth hacking over.
I would like to say I still am not looking forward for this next CoD title.
I wish they would do another original CoD

What me and my friends want is a cod anniversary. Basically means put all previous cods into one game but get rid of the maps, guns and perks that no one liked. I think it's a good idea.

I played Black Ops it seemed decent, I'm not sure why people were raging at those aspects. Personally I only go back to it for matches of Sticks and Stones. The COD franchise though hasn't really introduced anything new or groundbreaking in any of its recent games. In short, I'm really not looking forward to it.

Then it would not be a call of duty anniversary

The story was classic noir style. Secret government operations that, if exposed to the public, could cause massive disruptions on the scale of full out war? Black Ops had a more enveloping story than MW3. Films like "The Good Shepherd" were obviously influences for Black Ops, and that definitely impressed me. It also takes place during the Cold War, which is something CoD is not highly known for.
Graphics? I'm sorry, but that's not a valid argument. I'm not expecting ultra realistic graphics from an FPS. Even Battlefield 3 was overpowered by bloom effects that it looked cartoonish at some points. Another big difference is if you were playing on a console or a PC. I played the game on PC and, despite the small issue of mouse lag which was an easy fix, I thought it was graphically better than what the MW2 engine brought.
Now, unlike many, I buy FPS games for stress relief. I like going through the single player campaign or even co-op with some friends. This goes for any FPS because, sometimes, you just want to shoot things and get some steam off. Now, I don't play multiplayer for FPS games. The only multiplayer FPS games I play are Team Fortress 2, Tribes: Ascend and Killing Floor. CoD has never interested me multiplayer wise because of quickscopers and frag spammers. I can't comment on Black Ops multiplayer because of that reason alone. Same goes for the zombies mode. Just didn't interest me, so I stayed away from it.
The game itself didn't fail in terms of sales. Black Ops became one of the highest selling games of 2010 with stellar reviews. I wouldn't consider that a failure at all when you have a fanbase who buys everything CoD related including fifteen dollar DLC packs. Do you know how much money Activision has gotten out of CoD as a whole? Singling out one CoD game as a failure when it succeeded far beyond the publisher's expectations isn't what many people would do. As I said, people were expecting the same thing, they didn't get it and decided to rage as they continued buying DLC and playing multiplayer.
You expected character development in a CoD game? That seems a bit...odd. If anything, I didn't see major character development, but some of the turns in the story - amatuer as they were - did offer what many can consider to be a classic spy thriller story. That alone is what makes me praise the game so much.

Congratulations, you're an absolute numbskull who wasted their time.

But that's not a CoD anniversary at all. You want to strip everything people don't like, slap CoD on it and call it an anniversary. If you do anything for a CoD anniversary - and this goes for every game series - you need to include everything. You don't just strip things like that; do you want to bastardize the games?
