A "Funnies" Section

A funnies section would be pretty awesome. A place where members can post memes, comics, funny quotes, funny pics, etc... it would also be a good section to cheer someone up, I would hope :)

Well we do have....

Other works section to post art work like comics
The VT arcade for games and funny stuff like that, you can also post some spam since there is no post count but keep it within the limits.
Also you could check the diaries out or request a diary when you have the appropriate requirements.

I am sure this is not needed because between the VT arcade. The White padded Room and members own Diary's/Forums. I am sure all you have suggested could be placed into these various categories

Though this may seem like a good idea, it seems a bit weird to put something a bit random and unnecessary on a teen help site. A lot of people reply with memes, and you could make a thread with all of these things in the VT Arcade.

What would be nice is a stickied thread for this in TWPR. I've noticed a lack of one ever since I joined.

Why have a sticky when users could make threads?
Plus we have a variety of options to choose from when posting things like funny scripts or comics ect.

We have members forums if someone meets the requirements.

I just think that this is rather unnecessary and not needed on a help forum.

Meh, this forum isn't 100% for help and nothing but. It's also a place to relax and have fun.

Yes and while its not 111% help it's main aim is.

It's not like we don't have other facilities where members can post up things that were mentioned above. We have places like TWPR. Other works. Members Diaries. VT arcade. So overall I don't think this would be needed because overall we do have other facilities available as mentioned above.

I just don't like creating brand new threads just to post a funny image/gif/whatever. A thread like GT's (http://forums.govteen.com/countdown-forum/353130-govteen-pictures-videos-links-secrets-april-2012-a.html) would be nice (and I'm not trying to make this site more like GT.)

Well yes I can understand. But many members Diaries do have the option to post funny videos or threads. Maybe a sticky would be a good idea. But I personally don't think it is unnecessary as we do have other options as stated above.

I say lets just hear what an admin has to say.

I joined this site for the "help" factor, however there are many other sections that do not provide help but are just about interests etc...

I don't know about anyone else but when I see something funny, like a meme I can relate to or a picture that cracks me up It makes me happy and that helps make my day better.

Yes, this is what I mean. Although there could just be a thread in TWPR for it, instead of a whole section.

But VT has multiple sections that cover a wide range including the possibility for what you have asked, as well a members diary in which you could request.
