Straightening hair.

Yea im a guy. I recently just got a haircut so my bangs can reach the tip of my nose and the rest of my hair is about the same length. What do you people think about guys who straighten their hair. Im not exactly a scene or emo kid but i have dark brown hair and wear really tight jeans with small, usually dark, shirts of different "screamo" bands i like. If i straightened my hair, it would probably look like Shane Dawsons hair except with dark brown hair. No guy in my school straightens their hair and if i did, i would probably be the only one. Im scared people will think im a fag or gay or stuff like that. My family also hates my hair very much, only because they just dont like boys with short hair and think i should shave my head. So what do you guys think of guys who straighten their hair?

I have hair similar to yours, perhaps slightly shorter. I do not straighten it because I like how it flicks outwards at the sides and back pretty much symmetrically. I used to however, and there is nothing wrong with guys who straighten their hair. If you want it to look tidier then I can't fault you. Also, never worry about being the only one in school, because your school is not the only place on Earth, and there are so many guys that do it.

Any popular guy you know uses many creams on his face to keep good skin, at least 5 hair products in the shower and 2 out of the shower, and probably also goes to a spa/skin store often.


It doesn't make you gay, because all the guys who do this in my school always have chicks following them. I used to straighten my hair, but I stopped caring about how I looked so much.

Though I'm curious, what does straightening hair actually do to your hair? Like how it works. It simply heats up your hair and causes it to re-shape itself quickly, following the straightener's shape. Since it's flat, you get straight hair.

It's kind of damaging if you don't use creams on your hair.
