Has any one given CPR before, to save an persons life. Please explain what the situation was and how the end turned out.
My answer:
I have and saved an elderly woman in an nursing home, when she had an Heart Attack , until one of the staff came with the AED machine and took it over from their. The woman survived.

As a EMT, I have given it plenty of times, and as a lifeguard. I did CPR after a water rescue and then they were fine...few others times I just let the basic do it and I prepped for IV's...stuff like this happens in my field all the time...

yea I'm an EMT as well but the first time I did it I was off duty and someone on the same bus as me had a heart attack, i preformed CPR for 18 minutes before ambulance finally showed up and we started IV's and defibrillated him but he didn't make it :(

Yes, 1 tramatic arrest which my partner and I were on scene first and was my first fatal when I was 18. 3 (medical related) full arrest. The third made a full recovery and is living to this day. And the latest one was a few days before christmas and we had a pulse back after one shock and one round of epi. started transport made it half way and lost it and never got it back.
