Im just going to stop for a while. Drink water, chew gum. Hopefully lose a fair amount, and then go back to the norm.

i think thats a really bad idea because you wont be getting the nutrients your body needs and youll be tired a lot because gum gives almost no real energy

Bad idea! If you want to lose weight, do it the proper way by eating less junk food and more healthier food and excercise more. You may lose weight but as soon as you start eating again, you will gain all the weight back and possibly even be slightly heavier than before.

...I've found that eating in moderation helps the weight loss. Train yourself to eat less. It takes a lot of time, but it is a healthy alternative to losing weight. Also, eat healthy foods. I can't stress that enough. Healthy foods in moderation yeild healthy weight loss. Try to incorporate some physical activity as well, run a few miles or lift weights or whatnot :)

bad idea, DIETS DO NOT WORK IF YOU GO BACK TO HOW YOU WERE EATING!
In fact, you're on a diet right now! It's what you eat every day - that's what a diet is. And you should change your entire lifestyle (how much you sleep, exercise, diet etc) in order to lose weight and keep it off, while also feeling better and like a new person :D
Also, don't skip meals. If you skip any meal, do dinner because it doesn't prep you for the day or boost you for the entire day like lunch and breakfast does. Tho skipping meals won't help because your body keeps the last thing you eat because it knows it's in danger of starving.

No good comes out of dieting. The lack of nutrients and energy will cause more harm than good.
Once people have dieted for the first time they seem to live the rest of their life dieting to maintain that weight.

I don't think thats a good idea. However, I know what it's like, so if you do, be sure to get your nutrients in other places. Drink lots of juices, eat small healthy snacks every once in a while.

I know what its like to starve. Its not fun. Not that I'm eating buckets full anymore, I'd say I'm eating 1000 calorie diet a day. But believe it or not thats a step for me. grains, fruits, veggies, juice, water, fish. I don't eat mamels anymore. You should be shooting for 2000 calories a day, and limiting your saturated fats, added sugar, trans fat, high sodium foods. Try to eat balenced and stay active. Even if its just standing when you would normally sit. It keeps things moving.
forgive my spelling, I'm tired.

Don't just start a healthy diet, take a healthy lifestyle. You need to excersize, sleep enough, get fresh air, and eat healthy.
If you starve yourself, you will lose weight, but your body will just shut-down eventually.

I think I'll say also that if you don't get your daily needs of fat, carbs, protein etc, then you're not gonna grow that well. Kolte listed some of the stuff you should avoid...
limiting your saturated fats, added sugar, trans fat, high sodium foods
Limiting any of these things won't slow down growth and development, since they're not required (high and added stuff are just added for flavor. They're not needed and saturated/trans fats don't have a daily percentage on the label)

I WILL TELL YOU NOW IT DOES NOT WORK!
I have seen anorexic people with my own eyes! (i spent 4 months in a mental hospital ffs) don't do it its stupid and it dosn't work. Im not gonna lie and say you wont loose whieght because you will but it is VERRY dangerous! It will damage you and make you weak and tired you could even die! even then after a week i assure you you'd put all of the whieght back on again. So pull your self together and DONT DO IT!

Ditto all of the above.
Say you din't eat for a week and then you started eating 3 meals a day you'd put on weight really fast. IT DOES NOT WORK! I have started eating less recently (eg. Much less snacks than usual) and I've noticed a definite change in my size. Basically, when I start eating more I'm going to put on weight again and i'm going to think I'm fat and start skippin breakfast and lunch. So DON'T DO IT! All that happens is you start eating and then you grow and you see yourself as fatter when really you are thinner than when you started starving yourself. I hope you've seen sense by now and that this message can simply be a warning to other people. By the way, in case anybody should take the offencively I am not against Anorexics, but I would not recommend it. Also as a little added bit that I forgot to put on before, if you really do see yourself as fat, ignore it. Be proud of who you are and what you are, ignore the people who call you fat.
If any Anorexics are reading this and they wold like to be rid of their disorder, simply think of your favourite food and what it tasted like, what it felt like to be full and the smell of food. Go down to a market and look at every single detail of the best food you can find. This is, however, not a cure. This is one of the steps back to a regular 3 meals a day. If it does work, however, please PM me, I'd love to know I'd done some good in this godforsaken world.

I'm going to be honest with you. I can't tell you that it's wrong or not to do it. Because then I would be a hypocrite. But, you might look at other people, and think it's easy to not eat. Think it's perfectly fine that they are not getting any food into their system but are looking and probably feeling healthy. But that's not the case.
I've been basically starving myself for a while now. And I do eat but not that much. Probably like two crackers a day. And it's hard. Because I use to have heaps of energy. Now, I go to school, come home and pass right out because I'm not helping my body process and function right. Also, be prepare to get sick. Do you think you're going to feel fine? No, think again. Your stomach will start to hurt. And every time you stand up, you get dizzy. And sometimes, you even pass out. People make it seem so easy when in reality it's not.
So, measure out your pros and cons. In the end, it's your choice.
