About two and a half weeks ago I was getting head from my ex-girlfriend. (we were together at this point). It was the first time I had gotten head (or hand) from this girl and I wasn't able to cum. It felt really good...but I couldn't get to the point where I was even close. I've heard the term performance anxiety perfomance before but I thought it only applied to not being able to get a boner because you are nervous about sex or head or whatever it is. I have never had a problem cumming before...usually I can have an orgasm in 3-7ish minutes if I want to hurry. So I just wondered if it could be something like performance anxiety. The other possibility is that she was just going too slowly, because I usually go much faster when I masturbate, but even when I go slow I can get myself to cum or at least feel like I am close. So any ideas on why this could have happened?

Thanks, it's probably true. The only odd thing is I've tried going that slow since then and if I'm turned on enough (and believe me, I was when she was giving me head), I can get myself to cum in about 10 minutes or so. So I was just wondering if there is something I can do about like being nervous and not being able to orgasm because I am nervous about whether or not I'll be able to cum. Just wondering cause it seems like it could be a really sucky vicious cycle kind of thing.

Oral sex and regular sex are different sensations and is usually a lot slower. It was your first time so you have to get used to the different sensations. Also a lot of guys aren't able to come during oral so I would take Zach's advice:

combine masturbating and oral somehow!

I wasn't aware that a lot of guys can't cum during head. That's comforting. As for the combining thing it's a good idea but we aren't together anymore so I doubt I'm going to need it any time in my near future. Thanks anyway though, and I'll try it next time, whenever that may be, if I still can't cum from just oral.
