so i just saw steven wilson live and have to say my mind is so fucking blown away right now. This was my second time seeing him in performance and if you don't know who he is then you probably haven't been on VT that much because I suck this guys dick so fucking much and spam him literally fucking everywhere, like holy mother of fuck. I seriously feel like I saw fucking God on stage and that was the music itself, just watching all six of the members play out loud.

Especially when the last song came and HE PUT THE FUCKING GAS MASK ON! FUCK! THAT IS INSANE! I literally kind of feel like I don't want to kill myself now because he's coming out with a new album early next year. I can't fucking die, I have to hear that motherfucker. He even performed a new song off of it, which was fan fucking tastic.

No Twilight was actually the first song they played and holy fuck.... the concert felt like going on an elevator roller coaster thing straight to the fucking moon and would randomly drop and go back up. I mean I love PT but this just blew the 09 concert away millions of times more, just absolutely FUCKING INSANE. The 25 fucking minute epic RAIDER II, the video footage of this john wayne gacy dude, it was just so insane. My head has exploded fifty billion times tonight. First time I saw him in 09' it was Porcupine Tree. That was a pretty damn good concert too. Groovy as fuck.

I wish I had never read that. Gavin is a much better drummer than Portnoy. He's got a better understanding of how to make his parts fit the music perfectly. Also he doesn't hide behind a tank of a kit. He makes use with a relatively normal sized kit. While it might not be the flashiest drumming or fast, it's all about style and how he's fitting the music.
