So, on April 24th i am going to be in the hospital for a procedure on my heart. They will be doing something called a heart cath, during this they will be threading a tube thing through an artery in my groin area. Only problem is....i have scars on my upper thigh. I didn't think when i did it, or else i would have done it somewhere were they wouldn't see.

What can i do? is there any way to make the scars less noticible? I am really worried about the doctors seeing them.... If they DO see them(which they will if i dont do something about it!) do you have any idea of what they will do? Will they just ignore them? I have scars on my wrist also, but i am less worried about those since they will be focusing on my leg more then my wrist.

ughhh Help! :(

Well I don't know if they would point it out or not but ways to make them less noticable. Vitamin E is meant to be very good for scar tissue, rub some that into your skin every day and that may help them fade. Makeup would be the other answer I would have but it would come off and I don't think it would be very hygenic? I wouldn't have thought they'd say anything since you arn't in hospital for that.

By scars do you mean scars? As in are they old and healed or do you mean cuts?
If they are actually scars then sure you could try fading them using bio oil or a hydrating cream might help with that, but either way the doctors are unlikely to say anything about scars to you. They've seen it all, there is a possibility they'll send someone to talk to you but they may not.

However if they're cuts then it might be slightly different they may ask about them, depending on the severity could send you to see someone. However if you're eighteen you could probably refuse to talk to whoever.

Sorry if that wasn't all too helpful, the best thing you can do is not worry and try a cream to fade them. Good luck with the operation i hope all goes well.

I will definitely try to vitamin E oil, and the make up. Hopefully the scars are below the 'surgery' area so they wont care about the makeup...
