So in short, I am a freshman in college and I play the trumpet at college. My major is psychology with a concentration in child behavior and development as well as a minor in education. I may also major on the trumpet and music education. As my username states I am a DJ, no not the kind of DJ you will find at a club... I own all my own speakers and lights and just play music at parties (mobile DJ). I love helping people and doing my best to give advice (hence my major) I love taking care of people of all ages (hence my career goals).

I play the flute...its great being surrounded by 19 ladies hahaha

I bet, my college band has one male flute player and 49 female flute players haha. Not gonna lie sometimes I get wicked jealous. The trumpet section is 56 people but it's a pretty even balance of guys and girls.

We have 1 trumpet girl and she's the best one to. She tried out for drum major but our band director made her stay trumpet because she is so good

Good for her! In High School I had never heard of girls playing the trumpet, but then I got to college and went from a trumpet section of 3 to a section of 56 and some of the best ones are girls.

It is very time consuming and hard to balance with school work. One has to love music with a passion to be in band. And so many people diss on bands. At least they don't in college
