My friend just told me that she likes me... But heres the thing, im gay so the relationship could never happen. Now I'm worried that things are going to be awkward... What should I do so we don't lose our friendship?

i would do what pioneer said and tell her that u appreciate that she likes u but that u can not return the luv that she is talking bout but how her the friend luv and tell her that u just want to be friends hope this helps

I did that with one of my friends (that wasn't one I knew a long time, one I knew in the mid of the school year) and she was down for about 3 days but then picked back up. She was real sweet but she moved away =(

yeah, what pioneer said. then she probably wouldnt do anything about it anymore. to keep things from getting awkward, just act like it never happened.

Does she not know you're gay? I anyway DON'T tell her that (as in, don't use that as your excuse for not wanting to be with her; she'll think you're just being mean)! Just say that you're not looking for a girlfriend right now (you're looking for a boyfriend :D ).

ive been there except with a guy asking me out lol. he was pretty sad afterwards but like Jane said, we pretended like it didnt happen and we are still good friends. hopefully she will get over it and wont think its something personal
