Hello! Im new here.

Does any one here have heart problems? I was born with congenital heart disease(I'm 18 now) and i will be going in for a cardiac cath in a week. Then this summer i will have heart surgery.

Just wondering if anyone else here is going through heart problems to.

I don't personally have any heart problems, but my dad does. I don't know exactly what it is, but he had triple bipass surgery a few years ago, and he has to wear a pacemaker now.

I had a heart attack and had most of my valves replaced nearly 3 years ago, since then i've had multiple problems with my heart but its being controlled by medication. I still have the odd problem but not as often now, i just need to remember what i can and can't do.

I am having something called the ross procedure-- they are going to replace both my aortic and pulmonary valve.

I get random heart palpitations and have abnormal heartbeats from mixing drugs. In the hospital they told me that my heart was having spasms, while it also had a very very low heart rate. That's why I quit having those drugs, but my heart is still somewhat messed up from it. They didn't say anything about surgery though, just that it will end up badly if I keep taking those drugs together.

Definitely don't continue drugs!! Not good for you or your heart!!! hopefully you dont need any surgeries ever. Maybe your heart will recover since your done with drugs!

You had a heart attack at 16?!

Well, I don't know if I do personally, I am being taken in for tests on the 16th (wish me luck), but I know my doctor had a quadruple bypass surgery.

I will update after I get results.

I have Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia syndrome which is more of a problem with my autonomic nervous system than my heart, but as the same suggests it causes extreme tachycardia.
