Because your Ginger if you do dye your hair any dye with any red in at all will really take in your hair. I have red in my hair I dyed it dark brown with the faintest red tones and because my natural hair had red in it took to the red tone really well and ended up a lot of a redder brown than I intended.

However if you want to dye your hair go for it, you could try semi permanent first? May e depending on your skin tone some kind of brown?
