You know that soon I will be free
You know that soon you will be gone
You know that soon I'll have my revenge
My revenge will be so sweet that you won't ever forget it
I call Jacqueline, crossing my fingers and hoping she'll pick up. She does. "Meet me at the alley by Madison Street at 8:00." I say. I know she'll come. Even if she knows it's wrong, she'll come, because she, like many other people, expect the best, expect for life to be dandy, carefree. I sharpen my knife and put it in my coat pocket.
Jacqueline is there as predicted. She is waiting patiently, not a care in the world, her foot tapping to some unknown rhythm playing in her head. I walk slowly to her, and when she sees me, I can sense her breath hitches. I walk in what I hope is seductive, and circle her once than motion for her to sit. She does. I sit in her lap and lay out. Then quick as a leopard, I pull put my knife and stab my heart. As I take my last few breaths, I see Jacqueline holding me, helpless, my blood dropping all over her. I am now free. Now I can relax. You know soon that I will be the happiest person dead.
