I'm sick and tired of hiding my scars. My scars are on both of my lower arms, it's almost summer and I'm stressed and worried about my scars when I'm at school, what I'm asking is should I just tell my school about my scars so I can stop worrying about it?

The thing is, showing your scars you may get picked on a little. Childen can be so harsh, especially when they don't know the circumstances and even if they do they are still harsh.
So unlike normal circumstances when I say "what's the worst that could happen" I guess i'm saying try and keep it in the dark a little while longer because why it might feel good not having to hide anymore things might get worse for you.
Wear bands or makeup, just try to hide them and I know it's hard but maybe you should keep persevering?

However maybe this is just me, maybe you are stronger than me? (which you probably are). So if you think you can ignore the comments and looks that might come with letting people see then go for it, you're so brave if you think you can do that.

Do what you think is right, what you think will be best for you because i'm sure whatever you choose will be the right decision. <3

As long as they're not cuts I don't see what the problem is that you don't hide them. If anyone asks just say it's personal or don't answer them, I wouldn't be obvious about showing them, but don't hide them if you really don't need to and even you'll forget they're there after a while. But then there's people who could notice and you need to think about how it could affect you if it happened. If you're ready to have people looking at your arms, or having people ask you about them, talking about them, then just do it :)

You have a few options really, cover them up with makeup or wrist bands (if theyre lower down, or whatever). Just dont answer people, what's your business is your business. Or find excuses, say it was a pet (if you have one) or an accident when you were younger (I cant do this because I cant lie... so :S)
Whatever happens, just be yourself. People can be cruel, but just stick with the people who know you best and things will be alright. Enjoy summer.
Goodluck, if you need me you're welcome to pm me. x

MyOblivion, I believe that I can deal with the crap people will do, I'm just tired of hiding it I cant hide it forever my school will find out eventually I just feel better about it if I tell them before I'm forced to talk about it before I'm ready. And thanks your post help me think through it abit.

Kiss, I have no cuts (thankfully) I will say its personal unless it's a teacher then I have to answer cuz I'm not going to get suspended for insubordination, I didn't plan on being obvious its just that my scars are noticeable I've thought about the aftermath I think one of a few things will happen people will call me crazy or a cutter or both and the other people just won't care and do nothing.

xktx, make up and wristbands won't work for me scars are in the middle of both my forearms I will be myself Im when I'm with my friends who know about it, I will pm you whenever I need to.

Thanks everyone I appreciate it, I will post a thread with how it goes, thanks again.

If you really need the help I think it'll be best to tell your school nurse, don't make a big deal out of it and they'll just get you someone to talk to I think, whenever you're ready of course. I just don't suggest making it obvious to everyone, what I'd do is crossing my arms whenever I can or find ways of covering them up when I get the chance. You're welcome :)

I was already going to talk to the nurse and I always cross my arms and when I can I wear my armwarmers.
