So about a year ago I bought an LG Optimus One which ran Android 2.2 (froyo). About 7 months ago I rooted my phone and installed Android 2.3.3 (gingerbread) onto it. Ever since I installed Gingerbread, sometimes my phone just randomly freezes and the screen goes black, I cannot turn it on or off, so I have to take out the battery and put it back in then turn the phone back on.
Does anyone know if there is a fix for this glitch or a way to downgrade back to 2.2?

Ah good, android, something I love dealing with.
When you rooted the phone, did you install a custom recovery? If not, I suggest you go and download a ClockworkMod Recovery Installation Program, that will flash ClockWorkMod into the phone. Then, install the rom from there. Backup all your data onto the SD card, then access the recovery menu (I can't help you here, it varies from phone to phone, my HTC Wildfire S is accessed by holding volume dwn + power), then you will need to wipe;
Dalvik Cache
The phone os (Wipe Data)
and possibly battery stats. I always do to make the installation seem cleaner.
Install the ROM, and reboot the phone. You need to be sure the ROM you have installed is from a trust worthy place. You said that you rooted, then upgraded, so by that you imply that your phone did not initially support 2.3.3. Have a look on xda forums, they have many roms that WILL work on your phone over there.
Good luck ^_^

I think the OP thinks he is on stock GB roms...
I would factory reset the device using settings-->storage or sd card or something like that-->factory reset.
note this will erase everything on your phone so i would recommend backing up first before you try this.
Or you can install another rom from XDA, and flash through CWM like he said above.
If all else fails, call your carrier or LG to have help.

LG may not help considering you have essentially breached the given OS.

Which is why you always make a backup of the stock ROM so you can go back to it, and remove CWM if you have any problems ;)

ok firstly, if you HAVE problems, then you MUST HAVE CWM! How else can you fix it?
And secondly, it looks like the OP clearly didn't, so he better find a stock rom for his phone at once.
