A few hours ago, I accidentally left my iPod in my shorts, and they got washed. Luckily, I grabbed them before spin cycle, and I left it in oatmeal. Anything else I should do so it will survive?

A cycle in the washer is a pretty deep soak... Try putting it in white rice.

And make sure not to turn it on for at least 4 days. You don't want things trying to work there, cuz that could make it worse.

I fried mine on a bed of rice and it worked.

If you wanna get sneaky, replace the waer sensor with wax paper and take it in and tell them that it stopped working.

Update: My iPod is alive and well. The screen looks like there is a big drop of water on it, but it makes it look 3D. Yay for oatmeal!

Oh the involvement of technology in our lives today. You seem like one of those people who would get taken away in the white van if you ever lost your ipod for good :P

Well I would say take the battery out but...it's an iPod...so just use rice, and don't charge, use, or even mess with for a while...I would say a week just to be safe.
