I miss the old Linkin Park. Do you?

I've recently dug up a couple of old Linkin Park albums (Meteora and Hybrid Theory) and started listening to them because I saw they were going to release a new song. I hope it goes back to the old ways.

I thought their latest album was alright, but it just wasn't nearly as good as their older stuff. Too much techno and too little passionate screaming I think.

I appreciate that a band has to evolve and I suppose it's their art after all. But still.

Does anyone else miss the old Linkin Park?

YES!!!! The old albums were awesome and I have both of them still to this day. Their new ones where they got all soft suck!!!! except for a very small amount of songs on them.

HT and Meteora were awesome, half of M2M was good to. 1000 Suns was terrible on a song-by-song basis but actually pretty cool if you listen to the whole thing.

I'm assuming they decided they wanted to do something new. Bands evolve all the time, sometimes for the good, other times for bad.

Yea, I kinda liked how it tried to tell a story. But the songs individually were pretty bad for the most part.

There is no denying their old stuff was better. But I would never sell any of their albums back. They were the band that got me into metal. So they will always be one of my favourite bands, no matter how bad their music gets.

I liked 'The Catalyst' and 'When they come for me' was alright as well. Didn't like the rest.

Oh God yes. Hybrid Theory is epic. I'm not really excited about the new stuff though.
