I came across this as I was doing some research. But it is very really and very Ludicrous. I really don't know what to say, except I agree with the person who posted this comment on the article...

"Sheesh, what is this world coming to folks? Has everyone completely lost the ability to hold themselves accountable for their own actions?

Apparently so, because people have become extremely SUE HAPPY and are always wanting to point the finger(s) else-where because of their own negligence. "

Evelyn Paswall, 83, is suing Apple after walking smack into the glass doors at its store in Manhassett, Long Island. She is asking for $75,000 in medical expenses (she suffered a broken nose), plus punitive damages for negligence totaling $1 million.

All because Apple keeps its windows that freaking clean.

Apple Glass Door

Paswall claims she didn’t realize she was walking into a wall of glass as she approached the store, which is believable, we suppose. But she broke her nose as a result of the collision? How fast can 83-year-old move?

Her lawsuit claims that “the defendant was negligent ... in allowing a clear, see-through glass wall and/or door to exist without proper warning.”

Not to back up a corporate giant over a poor old lady with a broken nose here, but really? Is this the first glass door she's encountered? Apple is known for innovation, but we're pretty sure that came out well before Steve Jobs' time.

The Manhassett Apple Store has floor-to-ceiling glass walls at the front and rear, but still. If that's incomprehensible to you, how do you even know what the Apple store is?

WOW...... She's sueing because she didn't know that there was a piece of glass sticking out of the ground under a roof. 75K for a broken nose..... that is outrageous. I'm curious as to how fast this lady was moving to have broken a bone by hitting a window simply by walking....

People these days....

This is like the whole McDonals coffee thing my uncle was telling me about a few months ago. This lady was drinking a coffee, spilled it on her self, and sued McD's for "burns". Now they have labels on their coffee cups that say "Warning: item may be hot" or something along those lines..

But seriously? This is just stupid....what? Is Apple supposed to be outdoors these days? People will do anything for money these days...

That..that is some broken nose to total $75,000 in medical bills and what not.

Maybe she got a nose job XD

I agree. I think people are just to damn greedy and a factor that encourages that is that society judges people in part by the the size of their bank account and not by their character.
