so I feel like I am flying through puberty. I only started masturbating a few months at (13 at the time) - I've recently turned 14 and I've already started shaving my face and I have a bush of pubes, trail and I'm starting to develop some chest hairs, not many but they're getting dark... I'm french so I have dark skin and I tan very easily (people at my new school have told me they thought I was black when I came in September lol). My dad is pretty hairy but he works out and shaves his chest. My brother is also hairy but he has a trail from his chest down.. same place my chest is developing dark hairs.
Will this slow down?
Some of the people in my grade don't even look like they've hit puberty yet lol

Things i dont think will "slow down", but eventually stop. Its puberty, and your starting at a fairly normal time. Your situation does sound normal. It will stop around 17-20.

Hair growth doesnt usually slow down, ever. As you said, also, your family is pretty hairy, so its pretty sure you will be too. At 13 I started shaving my face. I started trimming my pubes and chest then too.

It's totally normal for you to be getting all that now. Welcome to life.

Well, I don't believe it will slow down ever, really...
However it will eventually stop completely, I mean, the hair will grow back but no more hair will grow in new places. I'm not sure what age that is exactly, but it will happen soon. Good luck!

Probably won't slow down till you get older, but thats the joys of puberty :P

I know exactly how you feel. I started puberty way earlier than anybody else that I knew. I started to get chest hair when I was 11! Now, I'm 14 and I shave it but it grows back so fast. At least mine's blonde since I have blonde hair. It will slow down when it's over. Now, I'm 14, 6'4'', and very hairy.

As you age the development period will get slower until you've reached your full growth/development potential around age 19-Gmonay

Hair growth varies so much with genetics that someone who comes from a line of hairy guys, as it seems you probably do, can be hairier half way through puberty than some guys are when fully developed.
Don't use the amount of hair you have compared to others to measure progress through puberty as for the reason above it is pretty unreliable.

Thanks for the replies everyone. My penis is also growing, both in length and girth.. I'm glad I'm not behind like some people. We have to take communal showers at school and I'm about on par with one guy and the rest are less developed than me.

I remember I was the hairiest of all my friends. When I got leg hair, it took my friend 1 year to get leg hair and he's older. You cannot control puberty, but for me it's gone very slow. Other than body hair :whoops:

That's puberty for you. Everyone has their own rate of development so I wouldn't worry. As for it slowing down, it might a little but it wont stop until you are fully developed.

Dude, you should feel amazing! You're already growing chest hair and looking more manly than more guys in the US! Im french too, tan easily too, have a trail, bush of pubes, and starting to grow chest hair....and im about to turn 14! So I would say we are about the same when it comes to puberty! If you need to talk about anything just PM me, or if you have a problem id be happy to help! But you also get your "manhood" genes from your mom. It deals with the X and Y chromosone.....the X chromosone (i think its the one from your mom) gives you the hair and penis size. So you probably wont be very much like your dad in hair and size. But to answer your question you will not slow down, once you pick up pace you will keep that pace...mainly in hair growth! So you will probably need a hair trimmer in your near future, hope this helped!

You and I are in the same boat, however, you seemed to develop pretty darn fast! Cursed with the hairy genes...

This is nothing to be ashamed or concerned about. You just develope faster than most. It won't slow down, and you will have to shave a lot more as time goes by.

Sucks, doesn't it?! Look the bright side, we can always shave. Wait until you get horrible ''Not stubble, just fluff' on your face. That's the pain. Then every time you shave, it comes back quicker and quicker.
