you know when your like 11 or 12 and you start to eat a little more and you gain some weight. well i gained weight but when i turned 13 i lost most of the weight. but what im wondering is i'm 5'9 145-150 almost 14 and my stomach still looks flabby (like i'm fat) but my arms an face dont have that much chub or fat my legs have some higher up . but i think its just excess skin from the weight loss do you think it's something else. if it excess skin does it go away by itself or is ther something i can do besides surgery because i dont want to have a flabby stomach cuz ii think girls find it a turn off
plz help:)

Its just not toned. Do daily sit-ups to tone your stomach. But instead of lying on the floor after each sit-up hold your body at an angle above it for a count of 4. This gives your stomach muscles work and helps strengthen them. Start off with 10 a day for a week and then build up to 20 a day for a week. Then 30 and so on.

Those are good ideas Carole, but I'd say crunches would work a lot better. Sit-ups are standard but are constantly debated because they work out your hips more than your abs. You may want to try oblique crunches aswell and run a few laps a day/week.
I've read that there is no such a thing as "spot reducing" (losing fat in one area of the body). You have to lower your total body fat in order to get your muscles to show! :-] Cardio is great for this. Cardio would be anything that elevates your heart rate for a period of 30 minutes a day to an hour - basketball, football, track or swimming is good for this.
And she is absolutely right, your belly just isn't toned even tho you fit in the healthy catagory.

Yeah, just do what everyone else says. I have the opposite problem, I can't gain enough weight.

well you dont just gain weight by eating fatty foods
eat more protein and just eat MORE food as in volume and if that doesnt work you have AN AMAZING matbolism
and to the poster becuase that was a little off topic is it abs you want to work
just do crunches, situps and things like that

Really? I'm 5'10" and I'm only 125 pounds. I've never been able to gain weight. You could exercise more at change your diet if you want to get rid of excess flab.

And at the time of your loosing weight the fat of your belly portion has turned into this flesh.
Body fat doesn't turn into flesh. Since body fat stretches the skin, if weight is lost rapidly (such as over-exercising or surgery), your skin won't compensate that quickly and it'll start to hang down or stay stretched and it'll appear that you have extra skin (which you do)
I dunno how to get rid of the extra skin except by surgery

To tell if it's fat or just loose skin, pinch an area of skin between two fingers. If there is a lot separating the two fingers, it's fat. If there's a small space between your fingers, it's loose skin. If you eat healthy while you're growing and you don't gain more weight, then the loose skin will go away.
