I hope this is not difficult to understand...


1. how old were you when you first got your period, what was it like, and what did you know about what to expect?

2. how did you feel about it, and who did you tell about it?

3. what menstrual product did you start with? how did you learn about it?

4. are you still using the same method to deal with the blood; what methods have you tried; which do you prefer and why?

5. do you experience cramps, bloating, soar breasts, get pimples...? - if you do, tell us about it, and also, what remedies do you use?

6. do you feel emotional changes relating to where you are in your menstrual cycle?

7. how do the boys in your life relate to your period, or periods in general?

8. this questionnaire makes me think....

1. how old were you when you first got your period, what was it like, and what did you know about what to expect? 12, kinda icky but made me feel more grown up

2. how did you feel about it, and who did you tell about it? my mum told me all about what to expect so it was ok, told my mum

3. what menstrual product did you start with? how did you learn about it? pads, mum told me

4. are you still using the same method to deal with the blood; what methods have you tried; which do you prefer and why? use pads mostly but sometimes mini tampons for swimming

5. do you experience cramps, bloating, soar breasts, get pimples...? - if you do, tell us about it, and also, what remedies do you use? just cramps really

6. do you feel emotional changes relating to where you are in your menstrual cycle? get more upset sometimes

7. how do the boys in your life relate to your period, or periods in general? boys make fun of them so we dont tell tehm , they dont have to know

A month before I turned 13

2. how did you feel about it, and who did you tell about it?
It was very painful. I was at my friend's house...

3. what menstrual product did you start with? how did you learn about it?
Always infinity, uh, I don't know?

When you say "method" do you mean pads and tampons? If so, tampons.

5. do you experience cramps, bloating, sore breasts, get pimples...? - if you do, tell us about it, and also, what remedies do you use?
I used to get pretty bad cramps, but I am good now. My boobs hurt a few days before, I break out a little... :/

I don't know, but I think I just get emotional, but not bitchy or whatever.

7. how do the boys in your life relate to your period, or periods in general?
I don't know. We all just talk about it because every girl is going to have it if she doesn't already.

1. how old were you when you first got your period, what was it like, and did you know about what to expect? I was 13. It was really long like 2 weeks or something, and I knew what to expect.

2. how did you feel about it, and who did you tell about it? It felt gross butI was relieved it wasn't like in the middle of class or something. I told my mom.

3. what menstrual product did you start with? how did you learn about it? U by Kotex pads (the kid ones)

cycle? Yes, I get awful mood swings, I cry a lot, and I get upset easily. Normally I am nothing like that.

7. how do the boys in your life relate to your period, or periods in general? I don't tell them about it. They are immature and don't want to hear it.

Eleven, I didn't know what was happening.

I was scared, I ran to my mum crying lol.

Um... I can't remember, it was a while ago...

Just tampons.

I get killer cramps, not bloating, my boobs get sore, no.

1. how old were you when you first got your period, what was it like, and did you know about what to expect? a few months before I was 14 I was kind of late. yeah I knew cos all my friends had had them. a bit messy!

2. how did you feel about it, and who did you tell about it? Was happy that it had happened but also sad that I'd have to have a period from now on, so a bit confused. Told my sister and my mum and grandma, also my best friend and another good friend (a boy).

3. what menstrual product did you start with? how did you learn about it? My mums really into the enviroment so she got me some flannel pantyliners that she washes for me.

4. are you still using the same method to deal with the blood; what methods have you tried; which do you prefer and why? I've used normal pads but my mum says I shudnt cos they r a waste so i dont use them much. since I lost my virginity in febuary i started to use a mooncup it was hard to learn to do it but its ok and less messy

My friend (the boy) that I told when I first got it was a bit grossed out but I made him promise not to tell anyone. I let him see one of my pantyliners with the blood on cos he wanted to see it, strange boy haha

2. how did you feel about it, and who did you tell about it? I told my mom. It was gross.

3. what menstrual product did you start with? how did you learn about it? I used pads but I started using tampons shortly after.

4. are you still using the same method to deal with the blood; what methods have you tried; which do you prefer and why? Yeah. Pads and tampons. I prefer tampons because I don't really enjoy oozing and gooing and.... yeah. :p

5. do you experience cramps, bloating, soar breasts, get pimples...? - if you do, tell us about it, and also, what remedies do you use? I have severe back pain, to the point where I can't get out of bed. I also get sore breasts. I normally use naproxen, but if that doesn't kill it, I use vicodin.

6. do you feel emotional changes relating to where you are in your menstrual cycle? Yep. I get really upset easily and I cry over everything, hahahah.

7. how do the boys in your life relate to your period, or periods in general? I'm gay. But my girlfriend pretty much serves me hand and foot on my period. :p
She always gets me heating pads, medicine, drinks, and of course she cuddles with me which always makes me feel better. <3

2. how did you feel about it, and who did you tell about it? I told my grandma.

3. what menstrual product did you start with? how did you learn about it? I started with tampax pearl because that's what we randomly and hastily pulled off the shelves.

4. are you still using the same method to deal with the blood; what methods have you tried; which do you prefer and why? I use tampons and I like them.

7. how do the boys in your life relate to your period, or periods in general? If I have to say, I have to say. When Grandpa asks why I'm staying home from school, I tell him. It's no big deal to me.

I think I was 11, I don't actually remember and yeah I knew what to expect I go to a girls school for one so people share, and yeah just knew.

I didn't really feel anything, and my mother.

Probably something like bodyform towels from my mother.

I prefer tampons personally, they're just easier.

Horrible stomach cramps use painkillers and tend to just stay in bed when I can.

I've been told I get both bitchy and more loving so i'm not sure I don't think I do feel anything emotionally.

Errrr they don't?
