So I've realized that since September my tolerance for alcohol has skyrocketed. I used to get shitfaced off 3 beers and a shot and now I'm doing 9 or ten beers with no effects whatsoever. I drink maybe once a month, is it normal for a tolerance to grow this fast?

There is no way to know for sure, the answer would be based on ethnicities and current consumption levels and the proof of the alcohol that you are consuming...

I'm not much of a drinker cuz I spend all my money on pot lol, but from what I know alcohol doesn't stay in your system for more than a few days most, so I don't think you can gain a tolerance if your drinking pattern is so spread apart. I could be completely wrong though, so if someone knows better then please correct me

maybe your tolerance didn't go up, but you're just so used to the way it feels when youre drunk you don't notice.

Yeah, you are just getting immune to it. The same way you can with every drug, even basic pain killers. Just be careful, you don't wanna fuck up your liver early in life or else it will lead to several health problems later on.

It might have something to do with the type you are drinking, or it might just be that you have been gradually been getting a resitance.
