I did it over a toilet once, it took a while for all the hair to flush lol. If you are just using some clippers/scissors to get rid of it, do it over a bag and then toss it.

Don't do it on the toilet. Pointless. If you do it while taking a shower, you can wet the area you're going to shave or trim to soften it up and make it easier to do it and have a smaller chance of getting irritation, if you shave. Take your time too.

i would recommend shower because all the hair just flows down the drain. make sure you don't let any get stuck to the sides so rinse afterwards

One site I was on suggested sitting on the edge of the toilet over a garbage can, then you don't have to worry about flushing or anything, just cover it up with some garb. lol
