(This may be in the wrong section so feel free to move it if it is)
Ok, here's the deal.
Im from the Uk, and through my whole life, with the people I know, it is not common to "get naked" or in fact be seen naked by a friend, family member etc. Even in the changing rooms at the swimming pool, its always; get towel, wrap it around your waist, change, drop towel;.
At school we have showers in the changing room- but they're not compulsory, so really the only time we would use them is after a muddy football or rugby game, or in the summer if its boiling hot- but no-one would ever go in naked- we'd always keep our boxers on, or our shorts or something... those who had under-armour shorst on- would go to the toilet cubicle to swap out for boxers again.
If anyone of us were t ask a best friend to "experiment"- they would probably flip out, call you gay for the rest of your life, and spread rumours about you non-stop. Thats just how it seems to be here.
yet, I have seen several posts on here regarding experimenting, or school showers etc- and noticed that a large number of people (mainly from USA etc) have quite the opposite experience from that of mine.
Does anyone know why this is? Is it to do with the area / place I was brought up? Or is it generally a trend in America vs UK (sorry if that sounds like a typical british tourist talking) where people are more open about such things?
I cant help but think if everyone was like some people seem to be on here (i.e- open, comfortable about being naked around friends etc), there would be so much less insecurity, hate and bullying in our generation(s).
Look at naturists / nudists for example... they dont give a flying firetruck about who see's what and where!
