View Full Version : Puberty Significance.!

One thing I've noticed that since I began puberty, which I'm pretty sure was about age ten, is that I am DEFINITELY into men. Hahah, I mean, despite everything else that has occurred in my life, my attractions to men have remained constant and abundantly stimulated. I find almost every aspect of a guy attractive, from the mentality of being the supposed dominant sex, which I think can be argued on the grounds that women give childbirth but that's just me, to the physicality meaning more body hair than women, and everything in between of course. As I've grown up, I've caught myself sexually looking at men much more predominantly than women. I've been teased for being "too feminine" or "you're such a b*tch"; you grasp the idea. Haha, but anyways, my question is that like, what would make you think a guy is gay? I wear Abercrombie, Hollister, Guess, Banana Republic, etc.. And I'm constantly being reminded that wearing such name brand clothes happens to dictate the image of homosexuality. I guess that's not very well phrased, but I'm perplexed because by looking nice for school, by doing my hair, by showering daily and making sure I match is somehow considered "gay"? I'm still in the closet to most, including all of my family and my parents; only my best friends and some others know. I'm just baffled because it seems to be labeled as straight, you can't look nice.. Haha.

I really don't know what makes someone think a guy gay. I guess straight guys think if you look better than them then they have to find some flaw in you haha

Hahaha, yeah maybe. I've just like really, deeply pondered this because I mean these straight guys wear sweats, nasty running shoes, and regular old t-shirts EVERYDAY to school, and I'm like really? I don't know. I've always viewed school as my "job" because it kind of is until I can actually go work, you know, so why not dress decently? Hahah.

It's not that people think you're gay just because you dress nicely. Although it is a know sterotype that gay guys are picky about their appearance. The stereotype isn't always true, but it is a sterotype for a reason. I have some friends that are always concerned about how they look, but I can definitively tell you that they are as straight as can be. Then again, for people like you, dressing nicely is indicative of homosexuality. I think people tend to look more at your personality. You being feminine in some stuff you do makes it more obvious than if you just dressed nice

True! I don't know if feminine was the correct word, but let's say that I'm not you're "normal" sixteen year old male. Haha I know what I'm doing after high school. I don't party anymore, or smoke weed. I don't constantly talk about my dick or sex, I'm not doing sports anymore, I play piano, I don't cuss. I've been told my mannerisms are a little feminine, but I don't really know. It's just something I've been thinking about, haha. :) Thanks guys for the replies!

I don't believe that it's gay at all. It shows you care about how you look and that you're a hygienic person :)
