Hi, I'm in 7th grade, and 13 years old. I'm in the school rock band, playing bass. Playing bass is my favorite hobby, and I'm really great at it. But, tomorrow I have a really important math test tomorrow. I haven't paid attention at all in math this year, and I have a 72 average. I have extra help, and rock band in the morning before school (at 8). If I miss rock band, I might be able to pass the test, but get kicked out of band. My teacher says no bullshit, I already missed half the band classes this year, and he's extremely strict. If I miss extra help, my average can go down to 68, making me have to repeat 7th grade (I already failed math 1st and 2nd semester). HELP ME! I really love rock band, but I don't want to get held back!

Wow that is one hell of a situation.
All I can say is do what you think is right and best for you.
Could you cope better being held back a year or not being in band? I assume most people would say get kicked out of band and don't get held back but if music means as much to you as it does to me then it's harder than that.

You have other options though. Is there a band outside of school or someone else where you live? Could you make up for it with your band teacher by doing some extra work or maybe he is more understanding than you think? The test is only a maybe though. Is there any point in losing both? It really is up to you, what means the most to you and will benefit you in the best way possible?

Education > Music.
Sorry, but you put yourself in this position by slacking.
You can always take band again next year, right? No point in being held back because of music when you can play again next year.
