So I'm bi and I'm proud to admit it. Most of my friends know and they're all pretty cool with it. My dad is the only one that knows in my family, though. I want to tell my mom but I know she doesn't approve of anyone being gay. Which is really weird, because she loves one of my gay friends to death. But she still says that gays are going to hell. And she doesn't know how much she's hurting me when she says that. Any suggestions on how I could tell her? I just don't want her to hate me....

She is a bit of a hy... no, a lot of a hypocrite if she is saying that gay people should go to hell yet she adores someone that is gay? She should love you for who you are and accpet it. She can't be that against it if she likes someone that is gay so that might put less pressure on you, i don't know.
I'm assuming your Dad took it rather well so he must be supposting you, at least you have him backing you up. Try sitting down with both of them and look to him for support if she starts having a go at you, make comments about your friend. Or you could write it in a note and leave it before school then if she was angry or upset it would give her time to calm down before you have to face her.
You are her daughter therefore she should love you no matter what your sexuality is and i'm sure even if she does over react now give her time and she might calm down a little. It's more the shock of it first and just letting it sink in. Don't be scared, so many people are accepting of you and stand by you so you're not alone.
