So,
I'm bored as hell and I'm going to read the few Specky Magee books I've got, haven't read them in ages :P. Wondering (Australians are more likely to know about this), do you have/what's your opinion on the Specky Magee, series by Gary Lyon and Felice Arena?
I think it's a pretty good series of novels. It's about Simon "Specky" Magee, (starting as) a 13 year old boy from Booyong, Melbourne, Victoria, a young aspiring footballer. The series follows throughout his highs and lows, and progressing, from small-time high school league football, to playing for Victoria, and some day, playing in the AFL.
Blurbs of the two books infront of my face at this current point in time:
SM & the Great Footy Contest
Specky is a true champion in the making, but is he good enough to win the Great Footy Contest?
SM & the Season of Champions
Specky finds out just why exactly, there's more to being a champion than just being a legend on the field.
