Prom?

Hello,

I am sixteen and home-schooled. I live in a small town right outside of Black Hawk CO, I've lived here for a little over a year, and really only have one close friend. She is a girl who is a year and a half older then me. A week ago she asked me to go to senior prom with her as "friends". The reason she gave was that all the boys at her school are "dorks", but she seemed really flustered when asking me. We have flirted before but it has been nothing serious. Since she asked me are everyday conversation has changed, but we haven't talked about prom at all. I am not sure how to move forward from here since we haven't known each other for very long and I don't want to screw up my relationship with my only close friend.

What should I do?!!!?

The main thing is to not stress about it or overthink it, if you dont want anything to go further, then go to the prom have fun as you usually would. If you do want to see where things go, compliment the girl, be nice and see where things go.

Just be your usual self, after all if she does like you its for the person she has gotten to know

Play it by ear - you don't need to make it into a big thing. In fact, if you just act normally and don't allow it to be awkward she'll probably appreciate it a lot.
