I'm not speaking for all the females in the world, so don't get that idea. I have this friend who is a bit of an idiot. He's like an act when in front of a group of people. He is a bit weird tbh, but girls like him (more friendship wise). While i am more normal, down to earth guy, who you can have a good chat with and i can't get any friends that are girls.

Why is it that he gets girl mates and i don't?

Girls in high school want to date the funny, good looking, stand out in the crowd type people (not that you aren't funny or good looking). Don't get down on yourself over it because I see it all of the time and it's even happened to me. You'll find that when you either get out of high school or start to meet new people that you'll see less and less of that, and it will actually turn itself around. The girls will be going for the people more like you rather than the obnoxious idiots.

That's what high school does to people - it changes them into something they're not. I'm a completely different person from what I was in elementary and middle school. I'm not like a typical stereotypical high schooler though.

Yeah like Mike said girls like the people that stand out I guess? The joker type "bad boy" that messes about in class and thinks its cool are the types im used to seeing getting girls. I don't know really I guess it's about looks, usually they are the ones that look perfect, the bullies if you will. If im honest, I don't understand why other girls are attracted them? To me they are just idiots.

Very true. Plenty of people i know have changed a lot since Primary school. The one i referenced is an example.

It's better if you don't go and try to act like them, because you'll soon realize there will be less and less girls looking for people like that.

Just act yourself, and you'll find someone. :)

I know. It's strange when you think about it. Would you rather go out/Be mates/Get off with a guy who calls you all sorts of names, and disrespects you on a daily basis, or a guy who is respectful, nice and normal around you?

If i was in that girls position i would choose the 2nd option

Yeah but thats the thing. You're a guy and you think differently. Girls minds wee bit fucked sometimes so just be yourself and im sure you'll find a nice girl that likes you for you.
