Help with viewing images

I know this sounds stupid and basic but on my PC certain banners on websites dont show up, i know theyre there because ive seen them on other computers. Ive tried using firefox and IE so i dont think its my browser. Its really annoying, anybody got any ideas what this could be?

Why would you want to see banner ads?

Not an ad, just a banner image, for that site, like a big image across the top, part of the site.

some firewalls, by default dont let you see banners or images with the name ad, or banner etc to stop ads, do you have a firewall?
