You should obviously be using something better then IE, Like Firefox. :)

Anyway, Try reinstalling Flash 9 for IE.

Download this, Which will remove Flash. http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe

Then, Run this, It'll reinstall Flash. http://fileforum.betanews.com/sendfile/964714156/1/flashplayer9_install_activex_061107.exe

Make sure your Browser is closed when you uninstall it and reinstall it.

See how that goes. If it still has a problem, download HijackThis and Paste what it found in here.

http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php#hijackthis

Open it, and click the "Do a System Scan and save a log file"

When the Log file opens up in Notepad, hit Edit > Select All, and then Open up your Browser to this Thread, and click in the text field here and hit Ctrl+v to paste it in here. Then, we can look over it and see if there's any problematic looking programs running on your computer.

You might also want to run a spyware scan while you're at it. Try Spybot S&D (http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Spybot_Search_and_Destroy/1043809773/1) and Ad-Aware (http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/AdAware_2007_Free/965718306/1).

Good idea

...and if you don't like FireFox, go with Avant Browser (http://www.avantbrowser.com/) :D

Not to start a FF Vs Avant or anything, but Avant is based off IE. The only problem I see with FF is the fact that they haven't fixed the issue where it doesn't clear out the RAM it was using if you have a lot of tabs open, and you close all but one.

I've tried Avant, and I despise it, actually more then IE. It's IE with a couple added annoyances.

I somehow knew that as soon as I said anything about FF, everyone would break in and be like "Oh noes you must means Avants!?"

;)

:) Hah. It's fine. You're entitled to your opinion on web browsers. There's definitely pluses and minuses to both browsers. There was a huge discussion on it somewhere in this forum a while back, that I contributed several quite length posts to. I can't remember which one it was though.

I was trying to give him an alternative that doesn't rely on any of the IE core, just in case there's any issues with those files. If you have some corrupted files/settings for IE, it's likely that some of them will affect Avant as well.

Hi,
You says its not installing because of an "Unknown publisher". Is there any chance you can post a screenshot? Once i see that it says i should be able to tell you how to fix it.

Something that looks similar to this, right?

http://www.planetnana.co.il/icq121212912/error.JPG

Just hit Run. It should give you an option of Run or Cancel. That's just Windows' way of trying to be 'More Secure.'

What exactly did you do, Just reinstall Flash?
