Something came to mind today how many people here on VT are abstinent and are willing to wait till marriage to have sex??? Me personally I'm abstinent and I where a purity ring as well.

I'm abstinent but I don't believe in "wait till marriage" I think that if you're dating someone for a certain amount of time, and you're both emotionally and mentally ready for it; then go for it. Marriage for me is just a simple document stating that you own each other in a way. i.e: No cheating and crap like that.

I don't wear a ring. I might wait for marrige or if me and her are together for a very long time and theres no possible way of breaking up. Then I might have sex with her.

I've never done anything sexual with anyone before, but it's not because I'm abstinent--though I have no intention of doing anything sexual unless I end up falling seriously in love with someone--but I doubt I'll wait for marriage to have sex for various reasons (Some examples being that my partner may not even believe in marriage, or we may be ready for physical intimacy long before marriage)

Almost nothing is as big of a turnoff as purity rings.

It's just sex. It's not a big deal, assuming you use proper protection. I'm still a virgin, but similar to other people it's not by choice. Sex is such a big part of a relationship that it's sill to completely cut that out.

I don't really have much of a driving desire to have sex with anyone. I definitely don't want kids and don't like risking it. I feel no need to wear a ring or anything to display any sexual desires or lack thereof

personally, though im still virgin, i dont think that waiting for mariage is rigt for me, I mean, people get in loads of relationships, not leading to marriage, i dont think waiting for marriage is right for me :D im planning on losing it to a girl i like a lot, not my wife :P

I am not so extreme to wait until marriage to have sex, but I want to wait until I can call it "making love" instead of just "sex" or "fucking". It means a lot to me and I want to give my virginity to a guy who loves me and deserves it.

As a teen I think its more important to learn about each other. Sex can just add more complications. So many safe things to do like kissing hugging or holding hands. Who wants to go to a gyn when your only a teen. Some humor.
