How to adjust to the "water temperature"

I don't really mean water, but like how can u signal, or hint, or gesture to someone that you like them? There's a girl I kinda like and I don't know if she likes me back yet. We're just friends right now. If I wanted to somehow tell her I like her how can I with bodylanguage or certain behavior(ex. a gift? give something?)? How did u start ur relationship?

spend more time with her, smile at her, make her happy, give her gifts, say nice things etc.
do this over time and it will come together. goodluck man

but making surprises and nice little things is really helpful too, I believe

Yeah and you dont want to wait around too long to figure it out or she'll just see you as a friend and wont want anything more, its easier to ask her out sooner then later
