So i've been masturbating since I was like a little kid, but i only recently learnt about TMS (Traumatic masturbatory syndrom) And larnt how it can be damaging to your penis and sexual life. i'm wondering if all this is true? I read most of it from a website called www.healthystrokes.com and i've tried masturbating the normal way, but it really hurts when I pull my foreskin up and down because i'm uncut and even putting water on it doesn't help. I masturbate by usually putting presure on the top of my penis and sliding it back and forth on my hand, and I have lots of trouble getting an orgasm the normal way, as i've never done it....i'm really worried that this will mess up my sexual life in future years...someone please help!

Well i read through that article and as far as I can tell, the info and site is legitimate and true. It sounds like they also mention the different pressure put on by TMS as a cause for the problems they relate it too later, however that is not specifically stated as the main or only cause.
It sounds like to me you have a tight foreskin. What you should do is when youre in the shower, gently pull the skin back to where it starts to hurt and stop there. Do it a few times while you clean it. Do this every time you shower, and youre foreskin will loosen up, and it will become much easier to masturbate in the so called "conventional" way. If this doesnt work (and you may have to give it time, like a few months possibly), then you might want to consider getting circumsized. It will hurt. A LOT. But if it is a medical necessity in order for you to reach orgasm using the conventional method, it may be necessary, and trust me your parents will understand and want this for you.
As for now, try doing it the normal way, just be careful, go slow, and maybe add an extra stimulant (ie porn) to help you orgasm.

Thanks. I've started the last little while and i'm wondering, how tight is the foreskin supposed to be?

I used to do that as a kid too. Then I read the article (too) and was shocked! I looked on the Internet how to do it properly (don't do it in front of parents, lol -_-) and at first, yeah it felt weird. But then I got better, and I culd finally cum. Now I'm 13 and I'm used to it :)

I haven't read the article- but I know masturbating is actually 'healthy' for you (as long as you don't go mad and bash one out 15 times every day).
obviously, I don't know how old you are, but being unable to pull your foreskin all the way back isn't uncommon for many people. I had that problem, but I just kept pulling it back a little every day until it easily slides back and forth.
It can take time- but you should get there. (warm soapy baths help)

As said, try stretching your foreskin out slowly and little bits at a time when its warm.

Assuming you want to switch to the normal method of masturbating I'd start by stretching your foreskin. You need to pull it back to where it is starting to get uncomfortable without being painful and repeat this frequently. You could do this as part of practicing masturbating the normal (new). way but don't worry if you don't cum that way at first. Eventually your foreskin should go back easily.

Once you get to that point just make a decision to not masturbate the old way. Try the new way and don't worry if you don't cum that way at first. As it becomes longer since you came the old way your penis sensitivity should return and then you will cum from the new way.
