In grade 10, a friend from class asked me to over several times. Becuse of previous events, I was afraid of social situations and declined the offer (now I know). I really liked him at the time but fear was telling me no (I didn't know I was gay but found him cute). I felt terrible about it and still think about it, we didn't really speak much until this year (grade 12). We started going out for breakfast every day with another friend for a while. Just recently we've started hanging out outside of school. I am really attracted to him and feel pretty strongly towards him romantically. I have a few questions.
How do romantic relationships typically start between two people of the same sex if neither of the is fully out of the closet in high school? How do you know when to make a move (i.e. kiss or other)?
How often is too often to ask to hang out or do something to avoid making him feel uncomfortable? Is 2 consecutive days too much? I'm not really the best judge of this since I would be around him all the time if I could.
I also really admire him. He's smart, talented, athletic, easy going, good family life, musical, modest and a whole lot more. I want to be closer to him and share a more intimate friendship or a romantic relationship.
