Does anyone know anything about a tongue piercing if so do you have any tips and what to expect when I get it?

From my own opinion and knowledge only, I would highly reconsider getting one. The mouth is full of germs and bacteria, which is almost certain to lead to a infection in the tongue, which could have some severe outcomes. Having read up on some of the stories makes you think is it worth it. But that's just me.

^^^agreed. Also, the piercing crashes against and wears down your tooth enamel, resulting in tooth decay.

okay ive had it done 3 times first thing im gunna say DONT DO IT YOURSELF and it doesnt hurt at all although healing kinda sucks some things i noticed with it they give you a long bar for the swelling and it does get uncomfortable and kinda made an indent in my tongue but thats normal you should eat soft foods no pasta dairy or anything with yeast in it cuz you could end up with a yeast infection and be sure you are not allergic to the metal they use in the bar they gave me a bar with nickel which i told them i was allergic to it and they did it anyway so it rejected and rejecting sucks always keep your mouth clean and for those who say it hurts it doesnt its prolly the least painful piercing ive had but there are risks like any other piercings be 100% sure you want it and do all your research and find a very good very clean shop

I would turn straight before I ever had this done to me, yikes! I mean,
earrings are kewl, but why would someone want to stick metal in their
tongue? It's not like they can show it off by having their mouth open
all the time.

No piercings for me. I'd like a tatto of something or someone special. I'm not gonna get something like Frosted Flakes tattooed on my stomach.
