She says: "I'm fine. I'm no good for you. I'm a lost cause. You can't help. I'm just gonna end up hurting you. I just wanna be alone. I need time. I can't stop. I'll be ok. Maybe its better if you leave."
But her eyes say: "I'm not even close to fine. Your the best thing thats ever happened to me. I still need you to fight for me. You help just by being there. I never wanna be alone. Time didn't help before. Maybe you could help me stop. I'll never be ok. Please, don't leave me."

Seen it a thousand times before, and never understood why I, or others, do that.

If people do it for the same reason I do then it's because she doesn't want to hurt and weigh you down with her problems, she probably feels bad and believes you would be better off without her. People do tend to say that a lot though, sometimes truthful, sometimes just for people to tell them all the reasons why they shouldn't think that, Im not really sure.
Don't leave her, If you do even though she asked you too she will hurt a lot more than if you stay. Help her through and let her help you, her eyes don't lie but the words coming out of her mouth can say anything.

Im sorry. Im here if you need someone to talk to, it helps to get things out and im always ready to listen. From the first post it sounds as if you have someone that you can go to if that's the case then don't push them away because of they are trying to help then take it.
