It doesn't really matter the genre, I'm not looking for anything in particular, but I was wondering if I could get some cool suggestions :P

If you're going to post one could you please post the title, author and possibly a brief description? Or maybe why you would recommend it? Just so I can get a general idea of what it's about or what you liked about it.

The Death of Sweet Mister by Daniel Woodrell.
Its about a kid with an abusive father who makes him break into sick people's houses and steal prescription drugs.

Communion by Whitley Streiber.
His own personal account with his experiences with extra terrestrial life. Spine chilling.

Under the Dome by Stephen King. About a small town in like, Maine, that gets trapped "under the dome". Its a newer book, so you'd get some of the references and its just a really good book. Its got a lot of surprises and is full of "HNNNG I HATE THIS GUY WHY WON'T HE JUST DIE OMG WHY DID SHE HAVE TO DIE" moments.

Mikkkkeeeeyyy, read the Millennium series :P
The 1st book is:
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Stieg Larsson
My synopsis:
A disgraced journalist, Mikael Blomkvist, is hired by a retired CEO of a manufacturing company to solve the 40 year old murder of his niece. After futile efforts, he hires the distrusting, anti-social computer hacker, Lisbeth Salander, to aid him. Through studying a case full of rape, torture, fire, animals, and religion, these 2 Swedish citizens may soon find that not everyone is who they say they are, and that men truly hate women.

I LOVED this book, and I read the whole series in 2 weeks. I fucking fell in love with the main characters, and the plot. The writing is brilliant, the message is extremely interesting, and it truly makes you question the morals of our society.

*WARNING-The series (especially the 1st) is EXTREMELY graphic at times so take caution lol

Horns by Joe Hill

It's a book written by Stephen Kings son and it's one of the best ones I've read.

It's about this guy who wakes up after a drunken night with horns on his head and he finds that everyone that talks to him says exactly what is on their mind and only speak completely honestly. Not only that but he is able to subtly manipulate people into doing what he wants. Really engaging book.

This sounds really interesting. I was going to suggest "a curious incident of the dog in the night-time" by mark haddon. Its very odd but odd=interesting for me.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

It’s just a small story really, about among other things: a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. . . .

Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak’s groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can’t resist–books. With the help of her accordion-playing foster father, she learns to read and shares her stolen books with her neighbors during bombing raids as well as with the Jewish man hidden in her basement before he is marched to Dachau.

This is an unforgettable story about the ability of books to feed the soul.

This title of the first chapter is Death and Chocolate <-- fucking great book right there

There are a couple good reads recently...

1. The Way We Fall by Megan Crewe
-This story is narrated through the eyes of a young girl while her friends and family become trapped in their island-city when a major disease breaks out. This disease has been causing hallucinations, coughing, itching, then a painful death. The girl and her father, the top doctor in her town, work together to help the city- but can they save it before it's too late?

2.The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
-The Hunger Games follows the journey of Katniss Everdeen when she, with 23 other boys and girls from ages 12-18, is entered intot he Hunger Games; a deathly battle with only one survivor. Katniss fights to survive, competing with the other 23 children for her life. But her challenge becomes even more dangerous when friendship and love get in the way- and something terribly bad happens.

3. Thirst
-Thirst by Christopher Pike
-Thirst is a series of books that follows Sita, a 5,000 year old vampire, as she battles to protect the world from other vampires and protect her secret. You get a glimpse into Sita's rich history, and follow her life as she falls in love and falls out again. Thirst has much horror theme, but also romance, tradgedy, action, adventure, comedy- it's a book that has it all. There are currently 4 books in the series.

*I must warn you, thirst is very gory...and descriptive. lol

Overall I most highly reccomend the Hunger Games. It's my most recent read and it's awesomee.

'Kafka On The Shore' by Haruki Murakami. It's about the lives of a 15 year old boy who runs away from home and an old man afflicted by a past event who also has to leave his home because of a problem arising in his life. Both of their lives are mingled on a physical and spiritual basis. It's like, realistic fiction with elements of fantasy and lots of symbolism just thrown in there, and it's a great book.

'The Eclipse Of The Century' by Jan Mark. It's about a dude called Keith who, after a near death experience involving a particular city in The Middle East, decides to travel there as he is told he will meet the people in his near death experience 'in Qantoum (the name of the city) under a black sun at the end of a thousand years', and the new millennium is approaching. It's big but pretty good in terms of its characters and plot, the writing isn't as good as Murakami.

Those are the only two I can give you now but if I feel like it I'll edit this post. :P

This book has the son fingering his mom while thinking "Mmm so warm and moist. God I love them pussy hairs."

okay I'm bad at describing books...so bear with me

Percy Jackson & The Olympians series + The Heroes of Olympus

start with Book 1: The Lightning Thief
Percy's a 12 year old who has ADHD and dyslexia. He's been kicked out of six schools. The latest one he goes to is Yancy Academy.

He discovers he's a half-blood or demigod and sees his mom dissolve into a shower of golden light. He gets taken to a camp for demigods, called Camp Halfblood.

After being claimed by Poseidon, the god of the sea, he goes on his first quest to try to get back Zeus's lightning rod. Zeus believes Percy is the thief.

after that, there are more books, The Sea of Monsters, The Titan's Curse, The Battle of the Labyrinth, and The Last Olympian. There's also another series related to this series, the first one is The Lost Hero and second one is The Son of Neptune. They involve Roman aspects.

The Gone series by Michael Grant
Its about a community in which all the adults (15 and older) suddenly disappear leaving the kids stranded in town. Now without adults, there are gonna be some problems such as no Firefighters, Doctors, Policemen, and other important figures. And the kids are developing powers that also cause a lot of problems in the town. Its an amazing series!
