Hi, I'm new to the forum.

Just wondering if anybody eles has this,
I have a problem with talking. I can't physically talk to some people. It's not that I'm shy or have no self-esteem. I've never been in a shop and brought something and I've never had more than 3 friends. I'm 18 now and in full time college, training to be a nurse. The course I'm on means I have to talk alot. And right now I haven't spoken. I don't know why I don't talk/only talk to certain people and I feel like I don't control who I speak too.

Anybody eles has this problem?

Never had this specific problem personally but in my experience if you want to practice talking, practice talking. Talk with a friend, talk with parents, just practice.

This could be something that we don't know about. I suggest seeing your family doctor and having him/her point you in the right direction of other doctors and where to go. that would be the best way for you to probaby get talking again.

I agree with both of the people above me. I say you see a doctor about this condition and in the meantime just practice talking. Talk in the mirror, to your family, to animals, to stuffed animals, just talk talk talk

Are you scared of talking or are you trying to talk and you just can't? I googled this a lot but I couldn't find any specific stuff on it so you probably ought to tell your doctor (if you can talk to this person or write a note) and your doctor can tell you what to do.
