Leg hair

Hey so summer is coming up and I don't wear shorts cuz i'm embarrassed about leg hair. My mom 'n neighbor make fun of it so I don't wear shorts. But I don't want to sweat like crazy this summer so what should I do? I don't want to shave because people can tell that you do, and trimming takes forever and tends to not be the same length. Yeah I know leg hair is normal for dudes but is there anything I can do to get rid of/shorten it?

Honestly you ought to just leave it alone or shave/trim it if it bothers you. I don't know of any way to shorten it other than waxing which you don't want to do unless you have to. Don't worry about the neighbors.

I'm 16 and still to this day, I've never met another person with legs hairier than mine. It's literally almost too thick to see the skin through. I wear shorts, so I'm sure you can too.

I agree with Skeptical Bear just leave it and don't listen to what other people say. the only 1/2 way lasting alternative is hair remover. leaves no razor marks no stubble no itchies hair grows back in soft. for me its only good for about 2 weeks. if u like to be smooth this is best way if ur just doing it be cause you are getting teased dont bother ignore them wear ur shorts and enjoi the Summer. :)

Okay, let me tell you right now. I was EXACTLY like you last year. I have SO MUCH leg hair it is ridiculous and I was terrified of wearing shorts. But one day, I just decided "F*** it" and decided to start wearing shorts. No one cares. Seriously, you will be surprised. The only times someone mentions it is to say "Damn you got hairy legs", and I reply "I know but eh, what can ya do" and they usually say "oh its not bad". Really, having hairy legs is completely normal. Embrace it bro.

ahhhh just leave it, you can't do anything about it besides shaving, which you don't want to do. there are some people that might want to have as much hair as you do, so consider yourself lucky and it's part of who you are =)

I was in the exact same situation as you! I don't recommend it to anyone, but I used nair on mine... only cause it really bothered me (looked like a freaking forest >.<). But my parents and sister got pissed and never understood how much it bothered me.

Not recommending you do the same, just something to think about. Some guys don't mind it and others are embarrassed by it. I know exactly how you feel lol, but again not saying you should do what I did xD.

There's a guy I know who was in the same situation, being afraid to wear shorts. He's my age, Hispanic, and had tons of black leg hair.

I told him to just shave his legs; because being comfortable in Summer is much more important than what some judgey idiots might think.

I say embrace it. Like others have said, it's part of being a man. Men are hairy and have body hair in all sorts of places. It's like having pit hair, facial hair, chest hair, etc. There really isn't anything you can do about it, unless you want to shave your legs, which I personally would advise against.

I was the first guy my age to get leg hair, I got it when I was 12, and I know what you are going through. I got some comments mostly because I stood out from the other kids having hairy legs that young. But really, leg hair is something that most guys will have in high school, especially by the time they are 15-16, and really, it is probably one of the first body parts that will start looking like a full-grown man. By the time you are in high school no one will even care, leg hair, pit hair, pubes, and happy trails don't get as much attention as back hair, its just something that you come to expect guys of a certain age to have.
