at the moment, Haruki Murakami and Terry Pratchett. Murakami's writing is just gorgeous and has that engaging element to it, and Terry's just hilarious.

John Green and Neil Gaiman.

Don't get me wrong, I love Harry Potter. I can't say that J.K. is a great all-around writer though. Harry Potter goes on my top favourite books though.

i love j. k. rowling and rick riordan, but not so much christopher paolini. i never really got into eragon...

the last two books are the most exciting, Brisingr, and Inheritance.
