Well unless you have a blood pressure cuff I would suggest you check your pulse. If it is regular, regular being between 60-80bpm then you should be good, give or take a few...

What if my pulse rate is fine, but the doc says I got high blood pressure?

If you have been taking your medication (I am assuming you are on some form of a beta blocker or some form of something) then you should be fine...
If you are worried I would call your physicians office, talky to he answering service and if they feel something is a problem then they can direct you otherwise.
I am sorry I cannot be of more help, I need to be there physically to do an assessment of this sort.

Google foods which will help lower your BP, and avoid them, there are many of them so not going to list, but try and avoid salty foods as much as possible.
Let me know if you need anything :)
