So I have the Blackberry Curve 9300 (I already know it's old, you don't have to point it out) It was being really stupid today, and decided to shut itself off. I thought it was dead, so I charged it and went out to get my new webcam. I come home, and it's not working.. I would turn it on, I'd get the red LED light, but no screen. Soon I would notice that my keys are light up. Was it something I did, or is something wrong with RIM? I've reset the phone almost 4 times. Still, nothing works. Could it maybe be the service provider i'm on?! I've tried google searches. Nothing came up. The battery is currently out of the phone, Maybe it needed to cool down. After all, it was a pretty warm day. It has been like this before, but 9 times out of 10 it was just a dead battery. The odd time was because of the heat getting to the trackball, and it would just stick.

Darkness.

Hmmm I don't think its a service provider issue but more of a hardware issue.Try using a new battery, if a new battery doesn't fix it it might be time for an upgrade. On the other hand you could try ringing support.

Good luck. :)

Plug it into your computer with BlackBerry Desktop 9 Installed. Do a backup, then restore. Or Wipe data, or find an installation update file on the internet from RIM's website. That should work.

Turns out, the LCD screen was burnt, and it needed an upgrade.
Thanks for everything you two.
