Hello, I'm going to NYC alone for spring break from Baltimore. So I was just wondering, what's cheaper, taking the bus or amtrak. I personally want to take the Amtrak because I DO NOT like buses at all, just the way they sway back and forth. And bus drivers just scare me because of the way they get road rage . Trains, I know that they sway back and forth too, but then again, there is no traffic. What do I choose.

I think the prices would depend on what company.. right? You'd probably have to look that up yourself to see what the prices are like in your area.
Train all the way. It's much faster, and usually more comfortable as long as it's not packed with people.

Well it doesn't sound like you want to take the bus, but honestly that is going to be so much cheaper. you would be paying and this is serious here: a total of and this is with only a week in advance

that my friend is a non stop bus. Which means you may stop in the middle of nowhere some where maybe 2 hours into the trip to get drinks or something to eat. Showing up for the bus early to make sure you get a window seat is an absolute Must. Sit somewhere in the middle of the bus so that way you're not near the bathroom and also its always better that way, if you want; you can sit on the right side of the bus and you can see where you are because location and mile point signs are always on the right side of the road. Some greyhound buses have plugs for electronics and wifi, so that ain't so bad. Although it's not guaranteed. They are bumpy sometimes, but what vehicle doesn't experience turbulence? plus the greyhound always tries to stick to the highway unless they're making a stop somewhere.

The Amtrack isn't bad, but it's expensive and they don't have a lot of convenient stops, but I'm sure you could find a cheaper price if planned in advance.

Also even though you didn't mention this, but I thought I'd just say that American Airlines has a hub in JFK International Airport and you could easily find a reasonable price there, I think delta would also be a good option as they have decent prices for a short domestic flight like that. Though if you're not interested in hat, I understand, but hopefully now you have a little more insight into your trip. have fun

Thank you. I mean, on the bus, you have to stop to get refreshments and bathroom breaks. But on amtrak, it's all right there. You know what I'm saying.
