I have used soap before to clean my penis and it really burns when i pee so stopped. What should i use instead?

I think you should just clean differently. That used to happen to me too, but now try to not get anything in the urethra (hole)

Tho, you can try some body washes, I've been using Dial Men's Body Wash and I've had no stinging :D

i use soap to. but as movealong has said, you just have to be careful not to get it near the hole. that way you will have no problems.

Try to avoid soaps that dry out the skin too much. I'm uncut and certain ones take the moisture out of the foreskin + head, and I start to itch after too much cleaning with them.

I dont need to worry about cleaning my penis since im circumsized. But i think you should just use water, i dont think theres anything stuck on there that would need soap to get off or anything, but whatever

It's possible that the soap isn't the problem at all. If you have a urinary tract infection, it'll burn when you pee. See, I would think it'd be kinda difficult to get soap INTO the urethra, but... Last thing -- are you sexually active? If you are, there's a chance you have gonorrhea, but I'd guess you don't. You'd know.

Gonorrhea usually has other weird symptoms such as green or yellowish discharge from the urethra.

The soap suds and bubbles can line the urethra and fall in with water force or gravity, or just get caught while it's open just enough.
I usually don't think anything is a infection, but that might be a case. If you're worried you might have one, go see your doctor.

You don't need to use soap to clean the glans of the penis. By all means, use soap to clean the rest of the crotch area, but when cleaning the head of the penis, clean, warm water should suffice.
